Welcome to Kantorowicz-carter.co.uk. This website has been built to honour the life and work of Frank Kantorowicz Carter, son of the distinguished 20th centaury jurist, Hermann Kantorowicz.
During his final years, Frank took it upon himself to write a book immortalising his father’s correspondence of ideas and thoughts with the German legal scholar and politician, Gustav Radbruch and the resulting manifesto he produced from them.
Included within this book was detailed information regarding the manifesto titled, "Der Kampf um die Rechtswissenschaft" (The Battle for the Liberation of Legal Science) a groundbreaking piece of work Hermann wrote under the pen name Gnaeus Flavius. Sadly however, with the book nearing its final stages Frank passed away.
At the request of his wife, Eileen Carter, this website has been created as a portal to access the information and ideas gathered by Frank and allow never before released information regarding his fathers work to be available and celebrated.
